View down Sixth Street

Looking West from the top of Sixth Street toward main Road. In the middle distance is Teralba, and in the far distance can be seen the Southern edge of the Sugarloaf Range. The straight length of the road serves as evidence of Boolaroo's 100 year-old design, wide streets laid out in a formal grid pattern - a far cry from the claustrophobic and meandering alleyways found in housing estates designed in recent years. In the olden days settlements like Boolaroo were designed for comfortable acommodation of the residents and their activities. Today it seems that it is more important to cram as much housing as possible into the smallest area as possible, within local council guidelines of course. Boolaroo is a nice place to live.
